📖 QUR’ANIC FOUNDATION

While the Name Al-Ḥakam is not mentioned in noun form in the Qur’an, it is affirmed by classical Sunni consensus and clearly referenced in Allah’s speech and the Prophet’s ﷺ supplications.

📌 Surah Al-Anʿām 6:57

“The judgment is only for Allah. He relates the truth, and He is the best of judges.”

📚 Tafsir (Ibn Kathir, Al-Baghawi, Al-Qurtubi)**

  • This verse affirms Allah as the only One with the right to judge absolutely
  • His judgment:
    • Is based on truth, not assumption
    • Surpasses all human courts and verdicts
    • Includes not just external justice, but internal realities of the soul

You can lie to people — but no one lies to Al-Ḥakam.

🪞 Tafhīm (Relatable Understanding)

  • You feel misjudged or falsely accused.

Al-Ḥakam says: “Come to Me — I know. I will judge you with truth.”

📜 HADITH REFERENCE

📌 Sunan Abi Dawud 4955

Narrated by ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib (may Allah be pleased with him):

The Prophet ﷺ said in a duʿā:
“O Allah, You are the Judge (Al-Ḥakam), and there is no judgment except Yours.”

📚 Tafsir (Ibn Rajab, Ibn al-Qayyim)**

  • The Prophet ﷺ recognized Al-Ḥakam in:
    • All trials and outcomes
    • Every qadar, every delay, every decree
    • Not just in courts, but in life’s unfolding events

Calling on Al-Ḥakam is to say:
“Even if the world judges me, I care most about what You decide.”

🪞 Tafhīm (Relatable Understanding)

  • You ask: “Why me?” or “Is this fair?”

Al-Ḥakam says: “This is My verdict — and it contains wisdom, even if hidden from you now.”

🤲 PERSONALIZED DU‘A

(Inspired by Qur’an 6:57 and Hadith Abi Dawud 4955)
Not from the Prophet’s exact words — but drawn from authentic meanings

Yā Ḥakam,
Judge me by Your mercy, not my deeds.
Rule in my favor when the world sees only my faults.
Show me wisdom in what You’ve decreed — and let me surrender to Your justice with peace.
Let Your judgment protect me now, and save me on the Day no soul can defend itself.
