📖 QUR’ANIC VERSE
📌 Surah Al-Isrāʾ 17:1
“Exalted is He who took His servant by night from al-Masjid al-Ḥarām to al-Masjid al-Aqṣā — whose surroundings We have blessed — to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing (As-Samīʿ, Al-Baṣīr).”
📚 Tafsir (Ibn Kathir, Al-Baghawi, Al-Qurtubi)**
- This verse recounts the Isrā’, the miraculous night journey of the Prophet ﷺ.
- Al-Baṣīr is mentioned to remind us:
- Allah witnesses all the miracles He performs
- He sees every detail of the path, from the journey itself to the state of the Prophet’s heart
- And He sees you just as clearly — your hidden struggle, quiet awe, and tiny acts of devotion
The One who saw His Prophet journey through the heavens also sees your quiet walk to the prayer mat.
🪞 Tafhīm (Relatable Understanding)
- You wonder if your small, hidden good deeds matter.
Al-Baṣīr says: “I see. And I never overlook anything done for Me.”
📜 HADITH REFERENCE
📌 Sahih Muslim 8a (Hadith Jibrīl)
Narrated by ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb (may Allah be pleased with him):
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Iḥsān is to worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you do not see Him, then know that He sees you.”
📚 Tafsir (Ibn Rajab, An-Nawawi)**
- This is the essence of acting with awareness of Al-Baṣīr:
- Even when you are alone
- Even when your soul is shaking
- Even when you have no audience
Al-Baṣīr is your witness — and His sight is full of mercy and truth, not surveillance.
🪞 Tafhīm (Relatable Understanding)
- You act differently when you’re being watched.
What if you lived knowing Al-Baṣīr was always watching — with love, not judgment?
🌍 EVIDENCE IN TODAY’S WORLD
1. You Did Good in Secret — and Were Still Rewarded
- A quiet donation. A secret prayer. No one noticed. But barakah followed.
That was Al-Baṣīr — seeing what others missed, and rewarding in full.
2. You Were Misunderstood — But Felt Inner Peace
- People misjudged you. But somehow, your heart stayed calm.
Because Al-Baṣīr saw your truth — and that was enough.
3. You Couldn’t Express Yourself — But Felt Seen
- You didn’t know how to explain. Yet Allah gave you relief.
That’s Al-Baṣīr — seeing the wound without you needing to point it out.
4. You Longed for a Sign — and Received One
- You asked in your heart, “Does Allah see me?” — and life answered with mercy.
Al-Baṣīr sees the questions you whisper when no one else is around.
❤️ EMOTIONAL ANCHORING
Al-Baṣīr is the One who says:
“You are not invisible. Your tears, your effort, your return — I see it all.”
He:
- Sees your outer actions
- Sees your inner states
- Sees the impact of your worship, even when you don’t feel it
- Sees your attempts to return — and honors every step
Even when the world looks away — Al-Baṣīr is still watching you, with mercy, attention, and love.
🤲 PERSONALIZED DU‘A
(Inspired by Qur’an 17:1 and Hadith Muslim 8a)
Not from the Prophet’s exact words — but drawn from authentic meanings
Yā Baṣīr,
Let Your sight be my comfort.
Let me walk this life knowing I am seen by You — and loved through that gaze.
Witness the parts of me I cannot fix.
And let me live each moment as if I see You — and know that You always see me.
