📖 QUR’ANIC VERSE

📌 Surah Adh-Dhāriyāt 51:58

“Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the Firm One (Al-Matīn), the Possessor of Strength.”

📚 Tafsir (Ibn Kathir, Al-Baghawi, Ash-Shawkani)**

  • This verse links Allah’s provision to His firmness:
    • He does not provide by chance or fragile means
    • His giving is anchored in total power and stability
  • Al-Matīn assures:
    • His support never collapses
    • His system never weakens
    • His promises are never broken

While human support crumbles, Al-Matīn holds you with an unshakeable grip.

🪞 Tafhīm (Relatable Understanding)

  • You lean on people — and they let go.

But when you lean on Al-Matīn, He holds — and never shakes.

📜 HADITH REFERENCE

While Al-Matīn is not directly named in the sunnah as part of a narrated du‘ā, the Prophet ﷺ referred constantly to Allah’s steadfastness, especially when praying for stability:

📌 Sahih Muslim 2722

Narrated by Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) — servant of the Prophet ﷺ:

The Prophet ﷺ used to say:
“O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion.”

📚 Tafsir (An-Nawawi, Ibn Rajab)**

  • The Prophet ﷺ, though the strongest of believers, still asked for firmness — because true firmness only comes from Al-Matīn
  • The One who does not shake, can anchor those who do

If you feel unstable — that’s not weakness.
It’s a signal to reach for Al-Matīn.

🪞 Tafhīm (Relatable Understanding)

  • You ask: “Why am I always shaken?”

And the answer is: “Because you’re not clinging to the One who never shakes.”

🤲 PERSONALIZED DU‘A

(Inspired by Qur’an 51:58 and Hadith Muslim 2722)
Not from the Prophet’s exact words — but drawn from authentic meanings

Yā Matīn,
I shake, but You don’t.
Keep me firm when fear wobbles my heart.
Hold my faith when I lose grip.
And let my soul be anchored not in what moves — but in You, the One who never moves.
