Al-Muḥsin (ٱلْمُحْسِنُ)

The One Who Perfects • The One Who Does Good with Pure Generosity

ROOT MEANING

Arabic root: ح – س – ن (ḥā • sīn • nūn)
This root carries the meaning of goodness, beauty, excellence, and improvement. It refers to something becoming better, more refined, more complete.

🌟 Allah Is the Source of All Goodness

Al-Nahl, 16:90“Indeed, Allah commands justice, excellence (iḥsān), and giving to relatives.” Allah commands humans to reflect His attribute of goodness.

His goodness is not occasional, it is a continuous flow upon creation.

🤲 DU’A TO AL-MUḤSIN

Yā Muḥsin, the One whose goodness fills the heavens and the earth.
You perfect every gift You give.
You beautify our lives with guidance, faith, and mercy.

Yā Muḥsin,
make our actions excellent,
our intentions sincere,
our worship beautiful,
and our hearts pure.

Let us live with iḥsān in every moment;
in how we speak,
in how we serve,
in how we worship,
and in how we walk upon this earth.

Beautify our deeds,
beautify our character,
beautify our ending,
and beautify our meeting with You.
