- Al-Ākhir means:
- He outlives all creation
- He was there before the first soul, and He will remain after the final death
- He is not bound by time — rather, time itself ends before Him
- Al-Sa‘di: “All things perish except His Face… He is the one whom everything returns to, and by whom everything concludes.”
You may forget the future, fear the unknown, or cling to this world — but Al-Ākhir is the eternal destination. He will always be there — when no one else is.

Narrated by Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī (may Allah be pleased with him):
The Prophet ﷺ used to say in duʿā:
“You are the First, so there is nothing before You. You are the Last, so there is nothing after You…”

- “Nothing after You” means:
- When the Day of Judgment is done, when Paradise and Hell are filled, Al-Ākhir still remains — unaffected
- He will be the only constant when everything else is transient
- Even in death and resurrection, He does not change, diminish, or end
