📖 QUR’ĀNIC VERSE

📌 Surah Al-Ḥadīd 57:3

“He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate — and He is, of all things, Knowing.”

📚 Tafsir (Ibn Kathir, Al-Sa‘di, Al-Qurtubi)**

  • Al-Ākhir means:
    • He outlives all creation
    • He was there before the first soul, and He will remain after the final death
    • He is not bound by time — rather, time itself ends before Him
  • Al-Sa‘di: “All things perish except His Face… He is the one whom everything returns to, and by whom everything concludes.”

You may forget the future, fear the unknown, or cling to this world — but Al-Ākhir is the eternal destination. He will always be there — when no one else is.

🪞 Tafhīm (Relatable Understanding)

  • You ask: “What happens when it’s all over?”

Al-Ākhir replies: “You return to Me — the One who has never faded, and never will.”

📜 HADITH REFERENCE

📌 Sahih Muslim 2713a

Narrated by Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī (may Allah be pleased with him):

The Prophet ﷺ used to say in duʿā:
“You are the First, so there is nothing before You. You are the Last, so there is nothing after You…”

📚 Tafsir (Ibn Rajab, Al-Nawawi)**

  • “Nothing after You” means:
    • When the Day of Judgment is done, when Paradise and Hell are filled, Al-Ākhir still remains — unaffected
    • He will be the only constant when everything else is transient
    • Even in death and resurrection, He does not change, diminish, or end

Even when everything you love ends — Allah is still there. That is Al-Ākhir.

🪞 Tafhīm (Relatable Understanding)

  • You whisper: “I’m afraid of being left behind.”

Al-Ākhir says: “Everything may leave — but I remain. And I will still be here, waiting for your return.”

❤️ EMOTIONAL ANCHORING

Al-Ākhir is the One who says:
“Everything that has a beginning, has an end — except Me.
And when you feel alone at the end of something, I will be there — not as a stranger, but as the One who was always waiting.”

He:

  • Remains after death
  • Exists beyond time
  • Holds the final word in every matter
  • Outlasts kings, empires, planets, and souls

When the doors close, when the story ends — Al-Ākhir is the One you’ll find waiting in stillness, in mercy, in power.

🤲 PERSONALIZED DUʿĀ

(Inspired by Qur’an 57:3 and Hadith Muslim 2713a)
Not from the Prophet’s exact words — but drawn from authentic meanings

Yā Ākhir,
When all is gone, remain with me.
When I stand at the end of a road, show me that You are still ahead.
Let me not cling to what passes — but trust in the One who never ends.
And let my final breath be a beginning — to meeting You, the Last, the Eternal.
