📖 QUR’ĀNIC VERSE

📌 Surah Al-Baqarah 2:245

“Who is it that will lend to Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and extends (yaqbiḍu wa yabsuṭu), and to Him you will be returned.”

📚 Tafsir (Ibn Kathir, Al-Sa‘di, Al-Qurtubi)**

  • Allah uses two paired Names here:
    • Al-Qābiḍ (the Withholder)
    • Al-Bāṣit (the Extender)
  • He withholds from some and extends for others:
    • Provision
    • Barakah
    • Tawfiq (divinely guided success)
  • Al-Sa‘di: “He expands wealth for some and restricts for others according to wisdom, testing both the rich and the poor.”

When Allah extends your hand, it is a test of gratitude and generosity.
When He withholds, it is a training of trust and patience.

🪞 Tafhīm (Relatable Understanding)

  • You ask: “Why is my rizq growing now, after such a hard season?”

Al-Bāṣit answers: “Because now your hand is open to give, your heart is soft to receive, and your soul knows who it’s from.”

📜 HADITH REFERENCE

📌 Sahih Muslim 993

Narrated by Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him):

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Allah’s Hand is full, never decreases by giving, and He continues to give night and day…”

📚 Tafsir (Ibn Rajab, Imam Nawawi)**

  • Allah’s giving is not like human giving — it is:
    • Continuous
    • Unseen in origin
    • Unaffected by depletion
  • Al-Bāṣit extends without fear of shortage — and still knows which soul needs what

You’re never taking from a limited source.
You’re drawing from a divine treasury that never closes.

🪞 Tafhīm (Relatable Understanding)

  • You think: “I don’t deserve this ease.”

Al-Bāṣit says: “I gave not because of your record — but because of My mercy. Use it wisely.”

❤️ EMOTIONAL ANCHORING

Al-Bāṣit is the One who says:
“I open your hands when the time is right. I expand your path when your feet are steady. And I extend your joy when your heart is ready to return it to Me.”

  • Opens hearts
  • Extends life, joy, and ease

🤲 PERSONALIZED DUʿĀ

(Inspired by Qur’an 2:245 and Hadith Muslim 993)
Not from the Prophet’s exact words — but drawn from authentic meanings

Yā Bāṣit,
Extend my provision in ways that bring me closer to You.
Stretch my patience when things feel tight.
Open my heart to love, give, and receive with ihsān.
And let me remember: no door opens except by Your hand.
