Al-Bāṣit is the One who opens your hands, your heart, your sustenance, and your soul. He unfolds growth as He wills, and always knows when to withhold or extend.
📖 QUR’ĀNIC VERSE
📌 Surah Al-Baqarah 2:245
“Who is it that will lend to Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and extends (yaqbiḍu wa yabsuṭu), and to Him you will be returned.”

- Allah uses two paired Names here:
- Al-Qābiḍ (the Withholder)
- Al-Bāṣit (the Extender)
- He withholds from some and extends for others:
- Provision

- Al-Sa‘di: “He expands wealth for some and restricts for others according to wisdom, testing both the rich and the poor.”
When Allah extends your hand, it is a test of gratitude and generosity.
When He withholds, it is a training of trust and patience.

Narrated by Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him):
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Allah’s Hand is full, never decreases by giving, and He continues to give night and day…”

- Allah’s giving is not like human giving — it is:
- Continuous
- Unseen in origin
- Unaffected by depletion
- Al-Bāṣit extends without fear of shortage — and still knows which soul needs what
