📖 QUR’ĀNIC FOUNDATION

While the Name Al-Bāqī does not appear directly as a Name in the Qur’an, it is affirmed through meaning and classical consensus (e.g. reported by Al-Bayhaqī, Al-Ghazālī, and agreed upon by early scholars as a Name of Allah based on Qur’anic principles).

📌 Surah Ar-Raḥmān 55:26–27

“Everyone upon it [the earth] will perish — and there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.”

📚 Tafsir (Ibn Kathir, Al-Sa‘di, Al-Qurtubi)**

  • This verse captures the essence of Al-Bāqī:
    • Everything in existence — no matter how beautiful, powerful, or lasting — will come to an end
    • What remains? Only Allah, in His perfect self, face, and majesty
  • Al-Sa‘di: “The people of understanding do not cling to what perishes, but attach themselves to what remains.”

When you hold onto Al-Bāqī, you are holding onto the only constant in a dying world.

🪞 Tafhīm (Relatable Understanding)

  • You say: “Everything I love fades. What can I trust?”

Al-Bāqī answers: “Trust what never dies. Trust Me.”

📜 HADITH REFERENCE

📌 Sahih al-Bukhari 6428

Narrated by Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with him):

The Prophet ﷺ would say in the night prayer:
“O Allah, Lord of Jibrīl, Mīkā’īl, and Isrāfīl… You are the One who never dies, while humans and jinn all die.”

📚 Tafsir (Ibn Hajar, Nawawi)**

  • The Prophet ﷺ invoked Allah’s everlasting nature during moments of surrender, loss, and night reflection
  • This Name reminds us:
    • Death is not chaos — it’s a sign of who remains
    • Every separation in this world is temporary, except the union with Al-Bāqī

Worship what outlasts time — Al-Bāqī.

🪞 Tafhīm (Relatable Understanding)

  • You whisper: “I’m scared of losing everything.”

Al-Bāqī says: “Everything is borrowed — except Me. I am yours forever, if you want Me.”

🤲 PERSONALIZED DUʿĀ

(Inspired by Qur’an 55:26–27 and Hadith Bukhari 6428)
Not from the Prophet’s exact words — but drawn from authentic meanings

Yā Bāqī,
Let me love what lasts.
Strip me of what distracts, even if it hurts.
Hold me in the moments of loss — and let Your permanence become my peace.
When everything ends, let me remain with You.
