📖 QUR’ĀNIC VERSE
📌 Surah Ṣād 38:35
[Prophet Sulaymān said:] “My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. Truly, You are the Giver of Gifts (Al-Wahhāb).”
📚 Tafsir (Ibn Kathir, Al-Baghawi, Al-Sa‘di)**
- Sulaymān عليه السلام made a bold duʿā, knowing:
- Only Al-Wahhāb can grant the unimaginable
- This was not rizq earned — it was a gift, pure and unmatched
- Al-Wahhāb responds to duʿā in unexpected ways:
- Not always through your effort
- But often beyond your calculation or “deserving”
If you truly want something miraculous — ask the One who gives beyond measure, without cause: Al-Wahhāb.
🪞 Tafhīm (Relatable Understanding)
- You whisper: “I don’t deserve it, but I still wish for it.”
Al-Wahhāb replies: “Then ask Me anyway — I don’t give because you earn. I give because I love to give.”
📜 HADITH REFERENCE
While Al-Wahhāb as a Name is not quoted in direct Prophetic duʿā, the Prophet ﷺ described Allah as constantly giving, even without being asked, which reflects the essence of this Name.
📌 Sahih Muslim 2736a
Narrated by Abū Dharr al-Ghifārī (may Allah be pleased with him):
The Prophet ﷺ narrated from Allah:
“O My servants… if the first of you and the last of you… were all to ask of Me, and I gave each what they requested, it would not decrease what I possess…”
📚 Tafsir (Ibn Rajab, Al-Nawawi)**
- This hadith shows:
- Al-Wahhāb gives limitlessly
- He gives before you ask, and gives what you forgot to ask
- Giving doesn’t reduce Him — it’s part of who He is
He is not generous once — He is perpetually, lovingly generous.
🪞 Tafhīm (Relatable Understanding)
- You feel unworthy to ask for something huge.
Al-Wahhāb says: “Ask — not because you are worthy, but because I am giving.”
🌍 EVIDENCE IN TODAY’S WORLD
1. You Were Given a Gift You Didn’t Even Know to Ask For
- A person, a blessing, a moment — unearned, unexpected.
That was Al-Wahhāb — gifting before the duʿā even formed.
2. You Were Given the Same Gift You Once Envied in Others
- You thought: “I’ll never have that” — and now it’s yours.
That’s Al-Wahhāb — answering even what was whispered in pain.
3. You Gave Something Small — and Received Something Grand
- One act, one duʿā, one tear — returned in tenfold mercy.
Al-Wahhāb doesn’t give to match your effort — He gives to show you His love.
4. You’ve Seen Converts, Children, or Strangers Embrace Islam — Without Planning It
- The light just entered.
Al-Wahhāb gives guidance as a gift — not just reward.
❤️ EMOTIONAL ANCHORING
Al-Wahhāb is the One who says:
“You don’t need to be good enough — just turn to Me.
I give not out of your worthiness, but out of My own generosity.”
He:
- Gives without limit
- Grants beyond effort
- Responds before the tongue moves
- Delights in gifting the hearts that seek Him
So don’t hesitate to ask for the impossible.
With Al-Wahhāb, what feels too big is already written for someone — maybe even you.
🤲 PERSONALIZED DUʿĀ
(Inspired by Qur’an 38:35 and Hadith Muslim 2736a)
Not from the Prophet’s exact words — but drawn from authentic meanings
Yā Wahhāb,
You are the Giver of gifts no one else can offer.
Place in my heart what I cannot earn.
Gift me with guidance, with nearness to You, with light I didn’t even know to ask for.
And let me remember — when no one else can give, You still can.
